Mounting Requirements

Mandatory Mounts Required for Graduation

3 Big Game Heads - Mule deer, whitetail deer, and the third mount is optional on species. (All skins will be tanned by the student using several tanning methods). Most students complete four to five shoulder mounts.
3 Birds - Waterfowl any species, pheasant, and the third bird mount is optional on species. One bird must be mounted with habitat scene. Many students mount up to five birds!
6 Fish - One trout and one bass are mandatory, the remaining four mount species are optional. One fish must be mounted two sided with habitat scene. One fish needs to be a fiberglass reproduction!
1 Life-size Mount - Any type, large or small, with habitat scene.
  Rug Mount - Will be demonstrated by instructor.

Students are not required to buy specimens from the school, but are encouraged to bring as many of their own specimens as possible. Students must keep in mind that the mandatory mounting requirements must be met before graduating. If student elects to bring his/her own specimens, the specimens must be suitable for mounting.

Students will be required to purchase an airbrush kit upon arrival.
